I turned one year old on March 6th,'03. When I was born I weighed 2 ounces; but now that I am a big boy, I weigh 16 ounces. I am 8 inches long from nose to tail and stand 2 and 3/4 inches tall to my shoulder. When it is cold here, I have my own sweater in a size 4. I wear a ferret harness when I take long trips and Mommy needs to keep up with where I am. I sleep in a ferret bed and you could get about 4 of me in it comfortably. When company comes Mommy must put me in a decorative birdcage so no one can accidentally step on me. My birdcage is 8 square inches and I take naps in it on top of a flat fleece doggie, he is very warm and soft. I have another birdcage that I eat in. I have a fleece star that I stand on and eat my baby food out of a baby food jar lid. For me that is a very big meal. When I get a drink of water I just put my little paws up on the rim of the water bowl. I show the other dogs that live with me that I am a big boy. I can do the things that they do! I do not know how to get up on the sofa, but I know how to get people to pick me up! I just climb on their shoe and bark and squeak, and if that doesn't work, I go to the next person! Someone will hear me and pick me up because I will make these noises until they do! Everybody loves me and I love them. I really love the tiny people. Mommy calls them children. If I'm outside and I hear them laugh, I stop, I listen... and when I have figured out where they are, I run so fast Mommy can hardly catch me! Everyone's face lights up when they see me and traffic stops to ask about me. To see people's faces in wonderment and joy makes me very happy. My Mommy says when she was a little girl she always wanted a tiny dog; so tiny that it would fit in a birdcage. My dream is to be the new World Record Holder for the Smallest Dog. Mommy said that if I am not the smallest dog in the world then I may be the smallest dog in America. If I am not the smallest dog in America, then I am the smallest dog in Florida. If I'm not the smallest dog in Florida, I am the smallest dog in this house! So now Mommy knows that dreams sometimes do come true. Mommy always wanted to have a black stallion with a star shape on its forehead. Guess what its name would be? Star of course! Mommy also wants a monkey. Mommy has always sort of lived in this make-believe world. She can see it now... she's riding Star and holding her monkey as I run along behind them; "Keep dreaming Mommy, I'm running as fast as I can!"
